| Smiles for Similes |
For your inspiration, check out this list of "bad" similes. I must disagree, however, that these are "bad" examples of writing. Some are so horrifically stupid that they sing with smartness: ("The young fighter had a hungry look, the kind you get from not eating for a while"). Others pack a poetic power punch, like #20:
"The hailstones leaped from the pavement, just like maggots when you fry them in hot grease."

Most of these are just different types of comments used with the words like or as to make it sound like a simile. -How dumb- Similes are supposed to be something like , "Her hair was as dull as the concrete floor." :D Well that list isn't helpful at all. My little brother who is 5 can make up something better than that.
